The Juicero Story

Our team is on a mission to help people consume more fresh produce every day. We’ve started with the first home, cold-press juicing system that makes raw, organic juice at the touch of a button. With hand-selected farms, cutting-edge engineering, and some out-of-the-box thinking, our system represents three years of hard work to bring cold-pressing technology (and nutrient-dense goodness) home. It’s all in the spirit of manifesting true health, and it’s just the beginning.

About the Founder

  • Doug’s Idea

Doug Evans, entrepreneur and former CEO of Organic Avenue, built the initial Juicero Press in his kitchen in 2013. He believes good health enables the best life ever, and sought out to find a way to empower people to achieve both.

Juice is the beginning. This is the future of food. Juicero will be leading the way on every front—food science, nutrition, technology, design, supply chain—as we build an ecosystem capable of getting organic produce from local fields into homes in ways that are both innovative and convenient.

Doug Evans, Founder + CEO

Doug Evans has lived many lives. He was a graffiti artist in Brooklyn, a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, an apprentice to graphic designer Paul Rand, and an occasional bartender.

But when Doug's mom died of cancer, when his father died of heart disease, and when his brother developed multiple chronic conditions, Doug found his most important mission. First, to save himself from a similar fate. And second, to share what he would learn with the world.

In just a few short weeks, Doug transformed from an unabashed carnivore to a raw vegan yogi. In the years since, he has devoted his life and his career to giving people access to organic, plant-based nutrition. He left his position as CEO of Organic Avenue in 2012, and has been pursuing his vision for Juicero ever since.
